Description
Susan McCay is a miniature teddy bear artist who creates teddy bears and animals 3 inches tall and under. In this class, Susan will present her method of constructing miniature bears using the sewing machine. This technique requires concentration and the ability to control your machine in tight places. Please register for this class only if you are very comfortable using a sewing machine.

About Susan McCay
Susan has been designing and making teddy bears for 20 years. She is known for her tiny bears and animals mounted on pin cushions and inhabiting watch cases, needle cases, and lockets. To speed up production of her mini marvels, she developed a technique for sewing them on the sewing machine. She has burnt out more than one machine in this endeavor!
Susan is a proud member of the Iowa Teddy Bear Makers' Guild, often taking a turn as president or secretary. She has bravely created souvenir bears for more than one teddy bear convention over the years. Susan enjoys traveling to shows, visiting with fellow artists and collectors, and teaching classes all over the United States.
